The Davis Group and its principals are the lead developer and financial planner behind a number of mixed-use, mixed income and affordable developments throughout Chicago.


For each development, we procure all financing, manage governmental entitlements, community outreach and the ultimate transaction; we manage design, cost-estimating/value engineering, bidding, permitting; additionally, we manage construction, change orders, construction draws and close-out. Finally, as owner or as owner’s representative, we oversee initial lease-up to ensure a limited operating deficit expenditure and LIHTC compliance.

Through a related entity, we provide property management services or oversight of any third party-property manager to ensure long-term asset maintenance and financing compliance.  Each of the properties listed below are mixed-income communities or developments offering market-rate and affordable for-sale, market-rate rental, LIHTC rental and CHA replacement units.

We have been successful integrating community and supportive services and hiring goals into the overall development of each project in partnership with our general contractor and working with a Stateway Community Partners, a non-profit social service provider.

We have extensive construction and development capabilities allowing us to manage small projects to complete redevelopments.

Our development consulting expertise encompasses all aspects of planning and design including:

The Davis Group are experts in new construction turnover and provides services representing clients through the first year of occupancy, which include:

Property Management

DV Property Management LLC (DVPM) was created by principals of the Davis Group to provide investment grade property management and reporting services for its own institutional investment clients and select third party owners. DVPM’s goal is to deliver highest quality services to a limited clientele, emphasizing hands-on management, personalized reporting and a property owner’s attention to detail, cost containment, operating bottom line and preservation of value. Although DVPM is a relatively new company, the principals of DVPM have served over 800,000 square feet of commercial/industrial space and more than 2,500 residential units throughout Chicago.

DVPM’s management philosophy is to ensure that our clients receive the maximum value for their investment. As long-term acquirers, developers and owners of real estate, we understand the day to day challenges in running a property and strive to find quick, affordable solutions. DVPM manages buildings as if they owned them and provides the client with essential information to make sound decisions that benefit their investment.

DVPM recognizes that in today’s market it is necessary to stand out in the crowd. Customer service is important to us and our staff takes a hands-on approach with their clients. We use YARDI and Planetele to track phone calls, emails, work orders and accounting matters. Through these systems we are able to provide our clients with quality service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

DVPM takes pride in employing a dedicated staff of professionals with extensive experience in all aspects of property management and commercial real estate, including marketing, leasing, accounting, finance and administration, acquisition, construction and development. DVPM invests in the staff’s continual professional development through such designations as the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).   DVPM’s principals are also involved in local and national real estate organizations such as the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
