Mr. Koerner is a principal of The Davis Group. Prior to that, he worked for 5 years as a principal at Neighborhood Rejuvenation Partners, L.P., an equity fund directly involved in the development of over $500 million in real estate projects. Earlier, Mr. Koerner was Director of Public Housing Investments for the National Equity Fund (NEF), the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit syndicator of Low Income Housing Tax Credits. During his five years at NEF, Mr. Koerner was responsible for underwriting and closing $80 million in investments involving partnerships with local housing authorities. Previously, he managed capital improvement projects for the Chicago Housing Authority, including coordination of activities between contractors, residents, property managers, and architectural/engineering consultants. Mr. Koerner is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University, and holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Harvard University.
