Auburn Commons consists of 72 units of senior housing located on the Northwest corner of 87th and Ashland. Auburn Commons replaced a partially vacant building and a liquor store which was previously the site of numerous robberies and finally the murder of its owner. Design features include an all masonry exterior, private balconies, 20% accessible units and central heating and air conditioning. This building is part of a larger development that includes a Walgreens drug store and a proposed family restaurant. This building serves residents in the 30-60% Area Median Income range.
